Willits Center for the Arts is a vibrant place serving the community because of the talents and energy coming from our volunteers.
We are always looking for new members to join our team of volunteers. Training will be provided. We especially have needs in the following areas:
- Gallery Host Coordinator
- Gallery Host
- Event Hospitality
- Gallery Prep
- Center maintenance
- Ceramics Open Studio Facilitators
- Promotions Team
- Fundraising Team
We also need volunteers for tasks that happen infrequently, such as landscaping or building maintenance projects.

Willits Center for the Arts is Seeking a Local Community Leader or Artist to Serve as a Volunteer Board Member
Willits Center for the Arts is the largest free-standing arts center in any town under 5000 people in the United States. The WCA brings together the arts community in Mendocino County with new gallery exhibitions each month, classes in ceramics, drawing, painting and dance as well as providing space for cultural events and activities throughout the year.
Board member responsibilities include:
• Attend monthly 1–2-hour board meetings
• Participation in fundraising events and campaigns
• Help with openings, hosting exhibits and events
• Work on committees or special projects
• Initiate and implement ‘working board’ tasks and duties
