WCA is honored to have received grant funding from Upstate California Creative Corps and the California Arts Council for ArtsStravaganza ’23-’24 to pay artists and creatives to share the upcoming awesome offerings.
We also have deep gratitude for our members and volunteers, as well as the City of Willits, our landlord, who have kept us here for 23 years in this special historic building, un-endowed and happening with doors open.

Grants, rentals and memberships fund some of our awesome programming, but they do not cover nearly all of utilities, minimal salaries and stipends and basic operational costs that keep the doors open and meaningful program development happening. 
For that, we need our community's support!

Willits Center for the Arts Mendocino Artist Corps ArtsStravaganza Project 2023-24. Free events and classes in our community from September 2023-June 2024.

With support from the Upstate California Creative Corps, WILLITS CENTER FOR THE ARTS will curate and marshal a Mendocino County Artists Corps (19 Local Artists and Creatives) from within our community ranks who will provide after school dance and art workshops, monthly art history lectures for youth and elders, arts summer camps, monthly dance and visual art workshops and programming targeted to uplift and engage youth, families and seniors with focus on increasing mental health outcomes, fostering civic engagement and highlighting social justice opportunities in our community. We hope to kick off with the first of several ecstatic dance events.
